Tips for Success

  • PROVIDE QUALITY RECORDS

Quality PVS Impressions or Intraoral scans and clear clinical photographs and optional radiographs are key for the creation of your treatment setup and for manufacturing the aligners. The primary reason for aligners not fitting is because of poor quality Impressions.

Make sure you take high-quality records for all your cases.

  • BE DETAILED WITH YOUR INSTRUCTIONS

The clearer you are with your instructions to the technician in your prescription form, the better they can provide you with a treatment setup that meets your expectations. Number or list your instructions to make it clear for the technician.

We love details! Be as detailed and specific as possible when providing instructions for your cases.

  • REVIEW THE SETUP THOROUGHLY

The treatment setup that you review in ClearPilot™ is a representation of the treatment plan and goal for treatment and is a representation of what we use to create the aligners. What you approve of in the treatment setup is what you'll see in the aligners.

Take the time to review your setups carefully.

  • ACCOUNT FOR DEALING

Because not all movements are predictable with clear aligners, you may want to use auxiliaries in your treatment plan. Be prepared to use and incorporate auxiliaries into your treatment plan to help you get the results you want.

Be prepared to use auxiliaries to get the outcomes you want.

  • REVISIT EARLIER SETUPS & OUTCOMES

Your earlier treatment plans and their clinical results can help remind you of what worked and what didn't. It's always helpful to remind yourself by occasionally reviewing them.

Earlier treatment plans and outcomes can be a tool to help you plan current cases.
