How Aligners Move Teeth
Sequentially staged movement
The Technician will stage cases based on the records provided, treatment preferences, and the Instructions from the clinician.
Tooth movement in the setups is staged sequentially:
- Technicians separate the teeth on the digital models
- Technicians reposition the teeth according to the clinician's Rx
- Protocols for staged movement are up to 0.3mm or 30 per step (aligner) to sequentially move the teeth from their initial positions to the desired positions
